The first meeting of the newly constituted committee of CGEE /UOJ, was held physically and virtually on 20th of January 2021 at the University board room from 11 AM to 1.30 PM. This meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor. Academic members of the Pioneer committee were invited to share their experiences as pioneer members who helped to develop the CGEE in our university. Vice Chancellor had announced new members and appreciated the pioneer committee members. Chairpersons were nominated for the four committees of CGEE such as Education & Research Committee, Grievance Committee, Working Committee, and Resource Mobilization Committee. UGC correspondence regarding the GEE and status of the GEE standing committee, and its progress also deliberated. Through the apprises of the previous committee members, status reports on complaints received also were examined for further follow-ups. Awareness was given about the pilot test of the Emergency Safety App developed by the UGC with the assistance of Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka. Finally, plan for future progarmmes and activities were discussed.
[:en]There was a Sensitization Programme on GEE & Prevention of SGBV in Higher Educational Institutions was held by the Education and Research Subcommittee of the CGEE on 1st of November 2019 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for the Level 3 Arts Students of at the New Examination Hall, Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna .

There was a Training Programme was held by the Staff Development Centre on 13 & 14 November 2019 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for the staff of the University of Jaffna at the Staff Development Centre, University of Jaffna .
There was a workshop was held by the Education and Research Subcommittee of the CGEE on 31st of October 2018 from 1:30 Pm to 5:00 pm for the First year Medical Students at the Lecture Hall No:2 Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna .
