Honoring Women in Academia – Celebrating Leadership, Excellence, and Equality
On March 12th, 2025, the University of Jaffna proudly hosted its International Women’s Day Celebration at the Hoover Auditorium, Faculty of Medicine. Themed “Leadership, Excellence, and Equality: Honoring Women in Academia,” the event was a powerful reminder of the contributions, resilience, and brilliance of women within the academic world.
This special occasion brought together faculty, students, and distinguished guests to celebrate the achievements of women who are shaping the future of education and research. The program featured inspiring speeches, moving poetry, and the recognition of outstanding women leaders and students who have made significant impacts in their fields.
