The Inter University Track & Field Championship was successfully organized by the Sri Lanka University Sports Association on 27th & 28th May 2017 at Mahinda Rajapaksha Stadium, Diyagama. Large number of athletes from 14 Universities took part and showed their excellent talents in the championship.
The following four members from University of Jaffna bring out their ability and won the places in the championship.
- Mr. D.L.J.N. Liyanage – Javelin Throw – 3rd Place
- Mr. K. Kajeevan – High Jump – 3rd Place
- Ms. G. Thusyanthy – High Jump – 3rd Place
- Ms. J. Kalaivani – Discus Throw – 3rd Place
